The clothes that I will be showing off are made using certified organic cotton, something I feel strongly about since conventional cotton agriculture uses so much pesticides and insecticides, it is devastating for the soil, our water, our health, as well as the health of the workers working in cotton fields. Logan & Finley
I teamed up with Logan & Finley in Toronto to show everyone that it is possible to live a stylish life while supporting organic agriculture and organic clothes. Logan & Finley is an urban general store, that just celebrated their 1st anniversary this week (yay!), where quality meets local, organic, and natural. A store where you can feel good about what you’re buying, as Julie takes extra good care at picking out the best selection available. All of their items must at least meet one of her criteria to get into the store (a lot of them actually meet 2 or 3 of them): they must be local, either regional, or Canadian, they must be eco-conscious (hence why the majority of the clothes offered are organic), or they must be built-to-last (a quality rare in most cheap commercial items nowadays).
Logan & Finley sells urban modern clothes for men and women, as well as a variety of non-toxic and reusable household items like cleaners, and locally-made all-natural beauty products. They are one of the rare few to carry an extensive collection of Weck jars (those amazingly cute canning jars so popular), as well as the Abeego line of product, a Canadian-made revolutionary product meant to be used like plastic wrap on your food, but made with organic cotton and beeswax (we use ours all the time)!

This series is meant to show off casual clothes to wear on the weekend, to go to your local Farmers’ Market, meet a friend for brunch, catch a movie, go to the cottage, etc. Whatever you want to do, there are healthy and non-polluting options! Oh, and did I mention that the prices are really affordable? They are comparable in price to any good quality items out there, if not cheaper. Remember that quality surpasses quantity.

Today’s Outfit
Today’s outfit is a cozy cotton stretchy t-shirt, and shorts (both certified organic cotton). Another outfit that I love from Logan & Finley! It’s not always easy to find comfortable shorts that actually fit! I’m sure most women will agree with me that bottoms are always hard to find, they tend to be tight in an area and gap in another, but these ones are awesome, they fit just right, are very comfortable and the length is great for hot summer days, not too short, not too long. I also like the pockets.
The t-shirt is simple, but it has an extra layer in the top to make it look like you have a tank top underneath, a nice way to stay a bit more covered in the cleavage area if you’re concerned about that, and the fact that it does have a bit of a stretch in it makes it ultra soft and comfortable; perfect to run around doing errands on the weekend, like in these pictures where I went to my local organic farm to pick-up some fresh free-range eggs!
What a lovely way to meet your local organic farmers than to go visit them, buy some eggs, and enjoy the sun and the fresh country air, while sporting some cute organic clothing.

Thanks for sharing the tips for where to search for organic cotton clothes! I have decided recently to live a more Eco-friendly life but so far I only managed to change my eating habits, for instance shopping at local markets (Pickering Town Centre is my number one) or to prefer restaurants that cook from locally grown food (this is a nice list: Locally Sourced Restaurants in Toronto
). However, I really liked your tank top from your previous post and the pink one from this article is very nice as well, so I might have a look in the store after all! Maybe see you there, haha!
