I’ve seen a lot of these on other blogs so one night, I thought I’d give it a try. I’d say it couldn’t be any easier, and definitely lots of room for experimentation with this! The sky is the limit! 🙂
You basically make this the night before, it only takes a minute. You put the ingredients in a glass jar with a lid, leave it on the counter overnight, and it’s ready to eat the next morning! Perfect for the morning rush, and if you don’t have time to eat it, you can even take it to-go! This is also an excellent snack for lunches, or even a healthy dessert.
Overnight oatmeal and chia breakfast (vegan, sugar-free)
- 1/3 cup organic oat flakes (old-fashioned kind, not the quick oats)
- 1/4 cup organic whole chia seeds
- 1/2 cup organic rice milk (or almond milk, or cashew milk), use more if it’s not enough to cover the dry ingredients.
Put all 3 ingredients in a glass jar. Close the lid and leave overnight. The next morning, simply add some homemade organic fruit preserve, a dash of pure organic maple syrup, a few slices of fresh organic fruits like strawberries, blueberries or banana, and, if you wish, a dollop of organic Greek yogurt or almond or cashew yogurt.
MMmmmm…. yummy!!!
Enjoy!
