Are you always on the lookout for healthier versions of classic treats and desserts? Who wouldn’t, right? I strongly believe that living a healthy lifestyle involves enjoying our lives, and counting calories shouldn’t be part of it, as long as you eat in moderation and use whole foods. This Healthy No Bake Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge Oatmeal Bar recipe couldn’t be any easier to make, and will definitely be enjoyed guilt-free.
No Bake Healthy Treat
It takes about 5 minutes to make and you only require 1 pot! No mixing bowls or anything. I haven’t really changed her recipe, it’s pretty much the same. The original calls for honey, so if you are a strict vegan, I recommend switching for maple syrup, which I have done (mostly because I’m such a big fan of maple syrup – I am Canadian after all, and I come from the land of maple syrup – Quebec! haha) and it was just as yummy as the first one I made with honey. My preferred combination is half honey, half maple syrup. Yum! But for a fully vegan version, only use maple syrup.
I also made a batch where I substituted the baking chocolate for cocoa powder, and that works too.
Chocolate can be healthy, it’s a great source of magnesium, which is needed for our muscles and our cardiovascular health. These bars are also made without any refined white sugar, and that is always a good thing, since too much sugar can create many imbalances in the body, including lowering our immune system for several hours, and could result in future illnesses and diseases.
Another healthy benefit of these bars is that they contain some coconut oil, which is a healthy oil to eat moderately. Our bodies need fat to function and absorb nutrients from certain food, so eating a fat-free diet is never a good idea! You just have to choose the right kind of fats to eat!
I made it about 6-7 times already, and I’m seriously considering making another batch soon! So, so, so yummy and easy! Just remember to keep these in the fridge at all times, since they can melt easily.
Enjoy!
This recipe is inspired by a recipe from a talented fellow Canadian blogger, Sharon from The Honour System.

Thanks lady! I’ll have to try the honey/maple syrup combo. 🙂 Have a great weekend. We have to meet up soon now that the weather is getting better.
Yes! We must! 🙂
Whaaaaaat!!!! You can change the servings and it auto-adjusts the ingredients????? I LOVE it 😀
hahaha yup! it’s great, isn’t it? 🙂
I love so much these healthy bars! Way more than the regular ones loaded with refined sugars! I think I would go for half honey half maple syrup, mostly because I like both and I would want to remain impartial 😉 . And what is best, I have everything, so I can make them!
thanks! haha I also like honey, so I couldn’t choose! It’s a really good return on a 5-10 minute investment 🙂
This looks fantastic! I’m totally with you… if you from Quebec everything sweet is better with holy maple syrup! J’vais m’en faire une batch cette semaine! J’t’en redonne des nouvelles;)
haha super! 🙂
I have had two batches of these already and they are amazing. If you like chocolate, these are a winner!
Yay! So happy to hear that you’re enjoying it 🙂
These look so good! I agree, no need to deprive oneself of chocolate!
Thank you! What would life be without chocolate, right? 🙂
You had me at hazelnut fudge! These look seriously awesome and easy to make. YUM 🙂
Thanks Colleen! Oh yes! hazelnut is where it’s at! and so incredibly simple to make!
Given my schedule these days, I think I need to make this recipe so that I have a healthier chocolaty pick-me-up while I work! These look fantastic!
haha yes!!! They are crazy good! The only problem is controlling yourself so you don’t eat the whole pan in 24 hours. LOL 😉
Very nice! I rarely make recipes like this, but I always enjoy them when I do. I think because I make dessert fairly infrequently, I tend to make fairly decadent ones. But then I need to figure out a way to either stop myself from eating it all too quickly (difficult) or give most of it away (enjoyable, yet surprisingly difficult as well). Having something that’s still a treat and yet a little more guilt-free is a nice change of pace. Plus I’m a sucker for chocolate and oats together – its such an earthy-yet-sweet little combination. Cheers!
haha that makes total sense, and I agree that it’s nice once in a while to have a decadent dessert. In this case, it tastes decadent, but has all of the good-for-you benefits too, which is a nice bonus! 🙂
These look absolutely heavenly! Believe it or not, I’ve never actually used (or made) hazelnut butter, but I can only imagine how delicious it is. I have the rest of these ingredients on hand, so I’ve pinned the recipe for future reference and look forward to giving it a spin sometime soon! Thank you for the beautiful inspiration!
Thank you! I’ve only recently started using hazelnut butter because it’s hard to find. Hazelnut takes it over the top, but almond butter is just still a delicious option (I’ve tried both)!
WOW, these bars look like they are a dream come true! I love the thick fudgy texture that they seem to have! Extra hoorays that they are wholesome!
Thank you 🙂 They really are amazing. Delicious and wholesome for sure! I hope you get a chance to try them!
These Fudgy Chocolate Squares look SO delicious! They remind me of a no bake cookie, but in bar form! Can’t wait to make ’em!
Thank you! 🙂 You will definitely enjoy eating them! haha
